Nestled in a serene rural community just south of Nashville, this home, built in 2010, underwent a remarkable transformation. While the house had seen minor updates in the past, the clients now sought a comprehensive overhaul to enhance functionality, livability, and aesthetic appeal. With the husband—a seasoned homebuilder—serving as contractor, the project became a deeply personal endeavor, completed in just five months.

The remodel touched nearly every part of the home, incorporating thoughtful details and custom touches throughout. In the kitchen, an oversized island became the showstopping centerpiece, perfectly balancing practicality with style.

Hardwood floors extend beyond their traditional use, wrapping exposed beams to create a cohesive and polished look.
The pantry evolved into a dream space, and the laundry room now boasts a more intuitive layout, eliminating the need to pass through it to access the side door.

Each room received our careful attention, including the reimagining of the dining room—previously a sitting area—into a guest ensuite, and the addition of private baths for all existing bedrooms.

The husband’s office received deeper-than-average cabinetry to maximize layout and functionality, while the wife finally gained a dedicated office of her own (no more working in a closet off the kitchen!).

A minor structural challenge—a required partial header in the kitchen—was seamlessly resolved to preserve the open-concept flow. From unique wallpaper to standout lighting and tile, every detail contributes to the home’s refreshed, functional beauty.
