Our goal for this Franklin, TN kitchen remodel was to integrate it seamlessly with the family and dining rooms. The core of the transformation centered on removing a key wall to make space for a large kitchen island, an element the client, who loves cooking, had long dreamed of incorporating.

The introduction of the island not only fulfilled the client's desire for a functional cooktop that would allow her to socialize with guests while cooking, but also significantly improved the kitchen’s overall flow. This strategic alteration created a more inclusive and welcoming environment, perfect for hosting and everyday living.

Material selection was also a critical component of this remodel. Sophisticated tiles and countertops complement the stunning statement granite we chose for the island—a request from the husband who wanted a dramatic centerpiece. The backsplash in the kitchen features tiles with dark, antiqued accents that tie in with the granite, while the bar area showcases a unique wood barrel backsplash, a nod to the husband’s passion for bourbon.

The final design is a refreshed kitchen that maintains the home’s warm and inviting atmosphere while introducing modern conveniences and show-stopping style.
