Timeless in Mars Hill: A Forever Home in Acworth, GA

Building a forever home is a journey—a process that combines dreams, hard work, and an eye for detail. For this incredible family in Acworth, GA, their new home renovation was a true labor of love. They came to us with finalized exterior plans and floor plans, but their vision was clear: they wanted a space that felt timeless, personal, and uniquely their own.

We began with the exterior, blending light and dark woods with a striking Belle Meade Green trim—an ode to the wife’s time at Belmont University. This thoughtful detail gave the home a connection to her past while grounding the design in a rich, inviting palette. The decision-making process was made smoother with the help of 3D renderings, which helped visualize roof stains, color selections, and shutter options, bringing clarity and confidence to every choice.

Inside, functionality and beauty went hand in hand. One standout feature was the “Costco door” in the pantry—a simple yet brilliant idea that made handling oversized grocery hauls a breeze. The kitchen seamlessly flowed into the outdoor spaces with large sliding doors and a pass-through window ledge, creating an entertainer’s dream. The husband’s passion for the Dallas Cowboys found its home in a unique man cave, while the oversized garage—designed to house a car collection—doubled as a party barn, with garage doors that opened to a deck for effortless indoor-outdoor entertaining.

Custom Home Design for Accessibility & Comfort

One of the key aspects of this project was ensuring accessibility without compromising style. Wide doorways, seamless transitions, and thoughtful design choices made every space easy to navigate for family members and guests of all abilities. A guest house on the property offers a private and comfortable retreat, incorporating features that promote ease of movement while maintaining a high-end, luxurious feel. This focus on custom home design for accessibility ensured that the home would be welcoming and functional for years to come.
